President Muhammadu Buhari has been dragged to the Supreme Court by states controlled by each the All Progressives Congress, APC, and alternative opposition parties within the country.

The states argued that the president’s govt order no. 00-10 of 2020 transferred the Federal Government’s responsibility of funding each the capital and perennial expenditures of the state High Courts, Islamic law Courts of charm, and therefore the Customary Courts of charm, to the state governments.
According to them, the order could be a clear violation of sections vi and 8(3) of the 1999 constitution.

Abubabar Malami, the lawyer General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, was listed because the sole respondent within the suit.
